Alfonso Portillo, Jr.
Alfonso Portillo, Jr. is a Senior Portfolio Manager for Charles Schwab Investment Management, Inc. (CSIM). He is responsible for the day-to-day co-management of Schwab U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF and the SchwabTaxable Bond Funds (Except Schwab Treasury Inflation Protected Securities Index Fund and the Schwab Short-Term Bond Index Fund). His primary focus is securitized products.
Prior to joining CSIM in 2007, Mr. Portillo worked for 10 years at Pacific Investment Management Company, most recently as a vice president and member of the mortgage and asset-backed portfolio management team. He has worked in fixed-income asset management since 1996.
Mr. Portillo earned a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and the Berkeley Haas School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Southern California.
