The Schwab International Core Equity Fund seeks long-term capital growth by primarily investing in equities of publicly traded companies in select countries outside the United States.
The Schwab International Core Equity Fund employs Schwab's proprietary International Stock Research to identify and select stocks outside the U.S. with promising growth opportunities. Developed by the Schwab Center for Financial Research, it is a disciplined approach to stock evaluation that uses factors Schwab believes to be indicative of future performance. The research evaluates more than 6,000 stocks in the 21 developed countries comprising the MSCI Europe, Australasia and Far East (EAFE) Index, along with additional non-EAFE countries. Fund managers utilize portfolio optimization techniques to continually monitor and adjust their selection of stocks. This Fund is designed to serve as a core international holding in a diversified investment portfolio, taking advantage of the huge market capitalization that lies outside the U.S.
